University of Miami Miller School of Medicine
I received my Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and Physiology at the University of Toronto in Canada (2004-2008) and my medical degree at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine (2008-2012).
As a Urology resident at New York University (2012-2017), I examined outcomes of patients with complications following midurethral sling surgery, and outcomes in patients who develop bladder outlet obstruction after sling surgery, and similarly their clinical outcomes following sling revision surgery. As a resident I also contributed to educational pieces for colleagues focusing on guidelines related to urinary incontinence and post-prostatectomy incontinence.
As a fellow at Stanford University in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (2017-2019), my research work focused on factors influencing outcomes following pelvic organ prolapse repair and anti-incontinence surgeries. In addition, I was awarded the 2017 SUFU Foundation Study of Chemodenervation grant to investigate the physiologic and histologic effects of transvaginal onabotulinumtoxinA trigone injection.
As a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Miami (2019-present), my research focuses are outcomes of pelvic organ prolapse surgery and health disparities in pelvic floor disorders.
