Career related activities:
Prof. Xie devotes to studies on Uro-oncology and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. He has published 197 peer-reviewed articles, 20 book chapters and obtained 15 patents, and was awarded ELSEVIER 2020 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers.
Prof. Xie has innovatively developed a series of new procedures to treat BPH, including Transurethral Vapor Enucleation and Resection of the Prostate ( TVERP ), Transurethral Vapor Enucleation of the Prostate ( TVEP ) and Ultrasound-navigated TVERP/TVEP. He has been invited to show live surgeries of BPH many times in Germany ,India, Hongkong and the innovative procedures were also transmitted live from Hangzhou to Rome during Annual Meeting of Society of Italian Urology.
Prof. Xie has cooperated with German colleague Prof. Tillmann Loch to develop new techniques for early detection of the prostate cancer with Artificial Intelligence Ultrasound.
Prof. Xie also served as a bridge linking Europe and China and contributed greatly to many collaborative programs with EAU, such as Chinese Urology Education Program ( CUEP ), World Chinese Urologists Joint Session during EAU Annual Meeting and EAU Guideline Office Exchange Project.
