Since graduating from Midwestern University in Downer’s Grove, Illinois, Brooke has worked in surgical subspecialties including colo-rectal and vascular surgery. For the past 13 years, she has been working in Urology. She enjoys the autonomy and diversity she is given through the UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Department of Urology. She performs outpatient evaluation of benign and malignant conditions both in independent and shared clinic models. She also first assists on robotic surgery. She has given lectures to the PA school affiliated with her institution as well as at state and national conferences. She has published in JAAPA and was a contributor to a Physician Assistant Clinics in Urology Journal. She is the President-Elect for the Urology Association of Physician Assistants (UAPA). She is passionate about mentoring students and peers and is the founding chairperson for a hospital wide mentorship program for advanced practice providers.
