James M. Hotaling, MD

James M. Hotaling, MD MS FECSM is an Associate Professor of Surgery (Urology), Director of Men’s Health, urology research director and director of the Surgical Populations Analysis Research Core (SPARC) and co-director of the Infertility Integrated Practice Unit at the University of Utah Medical Center. Dr. Hotaling received his medical degree at Duke and completed residency at the University of Washington, where he also completed an MS in epidemiology. He completed a fellowship in andrology at The University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a male infertility and men’s health specialist. He has over 200 publications. His research interests are the genetics and epigenetics of male infertility and erectile dysfunction, the impact of male infertility on population and familial health and microfluidic sperm sorting.
