Dr. Tracey Small Wilson, MD, FACS is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urology and Obstetrics and Gynectology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed her undergraduate studies at Georgetown University and medical degree at Howard University College of Medicine. She received her Urology training from the University of Connecticut and fellowship training in Female Urology, Neurourology and Urodynamics from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She is Board Certified and received sub-certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery in 2013. She is also a member of the American Board of Urology Examination Committee.
Dr. Wilson is currently the Urology Department’s Director of Medical Student Education and Director of the Reproductive Module for second-year students at the UAB School of Medicine. She is Co-Director of the fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and is an active member of SUFU. Her clinical focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor disorders in women, as well as the urologic care of male and female patients with neurogenic detrusor dysfunction. She has a particular interest in the adult Spina Bifida patient and leads a multidisciplinary team in the care of that population. Dr. WIlson has published numerous peer-reveiwed articles and has authored multiple book chapters on these topics.
