NYU School of Medicine
James S. Wysock, MD, MS, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at the NYU School of Medicine. Following a brief career as a research chemical engineer, he he received his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
He completed his surgical internship at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York followed by his urology residency at the Brady Institute of Urology, Weill Cornell Medical School at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He then furthered his training in the Bruce Sherman Urologic Oncology Fellowship at NYU School of Medicine. During this time he also received his Masters Degree in Clinical Trial Design from the Clinical Translational Sciences Institute at NYU School of Medicine.
He currently works as an Assistant Professor of Urology at NYU School of Medicine, Department of Urology, where he focuses his clinical practice on the diagnosis and treatment of urologic oncology. He has a special research interest in advanced biopsy and treatment techniques for prostate cancer. He also serves as the Chief of service for Urology at Bellevue Hospital.
