Roger L. Sur, MD

UC San Diego Health

Dr. Sur is a American Board of Urology Certified urologist who is founding Director of the UC San Diego Comprehensive Kidney Stone Center. He completed an Endourology Society Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center. He is also co-director of the joint UC San Diego Kaiser Permanente Lap/Endourology Fellowship program.

He served 21 years as a Naval Physician in numerous overseas deployments and retired as Navy Captain in 2014. Dr. Sur is not only an Professor of Urology at UCSD, but also an Associate Professor of Surgery at the military medical school USUHS (Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences).

His primary area of focus is Machine Learning in Endourology applications.
