Gjanje L. Smith-Mathus, MD, MPH is a board-certified urologist with WakeMed Physican Practices in Raleigh, NC. A graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Smith-Mathus completed her urology residency training at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA and fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA. She went on to obtain a Master in Public Health with certificates in Global Health and Health Finance & Management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her interests include women’s health in urology, global health, public health, addressing health disparities and advancing health and racial equity.
