Linda L. McIntire, MD is a native of Detroit, MI and graduate of Michigan State University and Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed a general surgery internship at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN and a urology residency at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, MI. After spending time in private practice, she spent over a decade caring for veterans’ urological needs at both the Hampton VAMC and Aleda E. Lutz VAMC. During her tenure with the Aleda E. Lutz VAMC, Dr. McIntire was also a clinical professor of urology at the Central Michigan School of Medicine. She serves on the executive board of the Hamilton Community Health Network in Flint, MI, where she chairs the Nominating and Human Resources Committee. She was honored to be a part of the first ever AUA Taskforce on Diversity and Inclusion and is currentily a memeber of the AUA DEI committee. Through her work on the AUA DEI taskforce, she co authored a pipeline program called "Prospect", which endeavors to expose medical students from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds to urology. She is the immediate past president of the R. Frank Jones Urological Society (RFJUS). RFJUS is an independendant nonprofit professional organization that represents African American urologists across the country.
As president of RFJUS, Dr. McIntire has spearheaded several mentorship events for African American students endeavoring to become a urologist.
