Kristen R. Scarpato MD, MPH, FACS is an Associate Professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) Department of Urology. She is the Residency Program Director and Vice Chair of Education within the Department. She received her MD from Tufts University School of Medicine, MPH from Boston University School of Public Health, and completed her urology residency at University of Connecticut. She treats GU malignancies with a focus on bladder and prostate cancer. She is the site PI at VUMC for a trial examing patient centered outcomes in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer as well as for several trials evaluating the utility of specific biomarkers in the diagnosis and management of bladder cancer. She has a strong interest in patient and resident education and serves on the Society of Urologic Oncology Education Committee, Young Urologic Oncologist Executive Committee, AUA Core Curriculum Online Content Team, Urology Practice Editorial Committee, and the Urology Care Foundation Bladder Health Committee.
