John J. Knoedler, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urology at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. He completed his undergraduate degree at Colby College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors and Distinction with a BA in History, followed by his medical degree at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He subsequently completed his urology residency as well as fellowship in Minimally-Invasive Urologic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. After fellowship, Dr. Knoedler joined the faculty at the Mayo Clinic. In 2017, he returned to his alma mater, joining the faculty at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where he practices today. He currently serves as the Medical Director for Urology Clinics at Penn State, is active in the Collaborative for Research in Endourology (CoRE) and serves as a member of the AUA Urologic Video Education Committee. His clinical and research interests include surgical and medical management of urolithiasis, surgical and medical treatment of BPH (including HoLEP), and endoscopic management of urothelial carcinoma.
