University of Iowa Department of Urology
Dr. Takacs currently serves as Clinical Professor of Urology with a secondary appointment in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Iowa. She received FPRMS subspecialty certification from the American Board of Urology in 2013. The focus of her practice is urologic conditions that affect women.
Dr. Takacs received her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, where she also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship. She then completed her residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo, followed by a fellowship in female urology, incontinence and urodynamics at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas.
Dr. Takacs has served as a board member of the North Central Section of the AUA and the current Secretary of the NCS. She has a interest in resident education and competency based medicine and assesment. She has been working towards her Masters in Medical Education through the University of Iowa to help gain expertise in these areas.
