Dr Simone Thavaseelan is an Associate Professor of Surgery/(Urology) at Brown Urology Inc (BUI) at Brown University. She completed medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine, and residency and fellowship in Minimally Invasive Urology and Endourology at Brown University. She serves as member of the Graduate Medical Edcuation Committee of Rhode Island Hospital, Advisory, the Office of Women in Medicine and Science at the Warren Alpert Schoof of Medicine at Brown Univeristy, Board of Directors of the Society of Women in Urology and BUI, the Board of the Society of Academic Urology, and has leadership roles in Diversity & Inclusion Department of Surgery at Brown, Brown Physicians Inc (BPI) as well as the AUA.
