Roger Dmochowski, MD, MA, MMHC, FACS, Professor Urology and Gynecology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN, is nationally and internationally recognized for his contributions to female pelvic medicine, the science of urodynamics, neuro-urology, and genitourinary reconstruction (in both genders). Dr. Dmochowski is subspecialty fellowship trained in female urology, neurourology, urodynamics and reconstructive urology. He is board certified in urology and female pelvic medicine and reconstruction. He received a Masters in Medical Management from Owen School of Business at Vanderbilt. He recently completed a Master of Arts in Conlfict Management, Negotiation and Mediation from Lipscomb University and is a certified mediator.
Dr. Dmochowski has published more than 420 articles and 120 book chapters, and over 450 abstracts, and has given over 275 presentations at various national and international meetings. Dr. Dmochowski is on the editorial board for the World Journal of Urology, and he is a reviewer for the Journal of Urology, and Urology. He is the Editor in Chief of Neurourology and Urodynamics. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Urological Association and International Continence Society. He was a trustee of the American Board of Urology.
He remains a leader in pelvic medicine and reconstruction training in Urology and is Fellowship Director at Vanderbilt University Medical Center as well as Director of the Section of Pelvic Medicine and Reconstruction. The Vanderbilt program remains one of the few programs that truly integrate both specialties of urology and obstetrics and gynecology and trains fellows in both specialties.
