Robert Abouassaly, MD, MS, Associate Professor of Urology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, Cleveland, OH, is a Fellowship-trained urologic oncologist. Dr. Abouassaly studied medicine at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, completed his urology residency at the Cleveland Clinic and fellowship in urologic oncology at the University of Toronto. With funding from the National Cancer Institute of Canada and CUA/CUOG/Bayer Kidney Cancer he also earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Toronto. He joined the staff at the Cleveland Clinic and also spends time at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. Dr. Abouassaly has written over 100 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and presentations. His research interests include health services and outcomes research in urologic malignancy (including prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancers).
