University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine
Robert Caleb Kovell serves on the urology faculty at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. He is the division’s associate residency program director, director of genitourinary reconstruction & transitional urology, and director of urologic medical student education, .
His clinical and research interests include urologic trauma, reconstruction & prosthetics, transitional urology, penile & urethral cancer, and men’s health. He has helped build multiple, ongoing urologic global health outreach projects worldwide.
Dr. Kovell received his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University and his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He subsequently completed his urology residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and a fellowship in genitourinary reconstruction and prosthetic surgery at Wake Forest University.
He is a member of the Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons, the Society of Academic Urologists, the Hypospadias International Society, and the American Urologic Association.
