C.D. Anthony Herndon, MD, FAAP, FACS

Dr. C.D. Anthony Herndon is the Children's Hospital Foundation of Richmond endowed Professor of Surgery/Urology at Virginia Commonwealth University. He serves as the Chief of Pediatric Urology as well as the Co-Surgeon-in Chief of the Children’s Hospital of Richmond.
Dr. Herndon serves on multiple national committees which include: President-elect for the Society for Pediatric Urology, AUA Intersex Task Force Chair, Task Force member American Board of Urology Examination Committee, and Assistant Editor-in-Cheif for the Journal of Pediatric Urology.
Dr. Herndon’s main research interest include longitudinal studies involving prenatal urinary tract dilation. He has co-authored several Consensus Statements involving this condition and serves as the PI for the Society for Fetal Urology Multi-Center Hydronephrosis Registry which he initiated as a resident in 1998.
