Viraj Master MD PhD FACS is Professor of Urology, Associate Chair for Clinical Affairs and Quality, and Director of Clinical Research in the Department of Urology at Emory University in Atlanta GA. His clinical practice focuses on renal, adrenal, testicular and penile cancer. Having completed fellowships in both reconstructive urology with Jack McAninch and in oncology with Peter Carroll, he is comitted to penile preserving therapies for cancer, and minimally invasive approaches to groin and pelvic nodes. Along with other colleagues, he refined the videoscopic groin dissection for a variety of cutaneous malignancies, including melanoma, anal, vulvar and penile cancer.
His work in kidney cancer focuses on host-tumor interaactions, particuarly cancer immunology in the context of locally advanced and metastatic RCC, and has performed more than 400 cases of IVC tumor thrombectomy.
He is the founding Director of Integrative Oncology and Survivorship at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
