Allen Gao, MD, PhD, is a Ralph deVere White Professor and Director of Urologic Resesarch, Department of Urologic Surgery, University of California Davis. Dr. Gao’s research focuses on understanding the molecular changes associated with the progression and resistance of prostate cancer with goals to identify better diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets for advanced prostate cancer. Particular emphases include microRNAs, androgen signaling, mechanisms of drug resistance, novel therapeutic targets, and drug development including preclinical and early clinical studies.
