Aaron E. Katz, MD

Dr. Aaron Katz is currently Prof. and Chairman of urology at NYU Langone-long Island. Dr. Katz trained at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and then completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at Columbia University. He spent most of his career at Columbia University where he started as an assistant professor in Urology and worked his way up to a full professor with an endowment. During his time at Columbia University Dr. Katz started a center for holistic urology and became an expert on prostate cancer evaluation and treatments using novel techniques such as cryotherapy. Dr. Katz has published over 150 peer-reviewed publications he has lectured throughout the United States and internationally on prostate cancer and urologic oncology. He is is currently the host of a weekly radio show on IHeart radio called Katz's Corner as well as a mens show on Doctor Radio. Dr. Katz is currently a reviewer for the Journal of Urology, Urology and the British Journal of Urology and is involved in multiple Hospital committees. He is PI on several clinical trials on bladder and prostate cancer. Dr Katz is also the Program Director for the urology residency program at NYU- Long Island.
