Dr. Warlick is the Chair of the Department of Urology at the University of Minnesota Medical School and a urologic surgeon at the Institute for Prostate and Urologic Cancers. He treats several urologic cancers, with an emphasis on prostate cancer, and is nationally known for his leadership on active surveillance for low-risk prostate cancer, while performing robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomies for men requiring definitive therapy. Dr. Warlick has ongoing research focusing on the use of MR imaging in prostate cancer, on racial disparities in prostate cancer among African-American men, and on the use of shared decision making around PSA screening and prostate cancer treatment decision making. Dr. Warlick earned his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Minnesota and completed his residency at Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
