Dr Nick Cowan was raised in Olympia, Washington and earned his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He completed his residency in Urology at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon and a fellowship in Renal Transplantation at the University of California Los Angeles. He is currently the Associate Program Director in the Section of Urology and Renal Transplant at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
Dr Cowan's main interests include renal and pancreas transplantation, kidney paired donation, kidney cancer, and laparoscopic and robotic renal surgery. He has been published in a variety of urologic and transplant journals and authored numerous book chapters in the field of transplantation.
