Lawrence Jenkins, MD, MBA is a specialist in Men's Sexual Health and Fertility. He provides specialized care in male sexual / reproductive medicine and surgery including complex microsurgical procedures and male prosthetic surgery.
After completing medical school at The State University of New York University at Buffalo with research honors, Dr. Jenkins completed his Urology Residency at the University of Miami where he served as Chief Resident. In 2014, Dr. Jenkins was the honored recipient of the International Volunteers in Urology Traveling Resident Scholarship, through which he was able to bring surgical techniques from the United States to groups of urologists in Hue, Vietnam. Following his residency training, Dr. Jenkins completed a fellowship in Male Sexual and Reproductive Medicine under the mentorship of Dr. John Mulhall at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center; and Male Infertility and Microsurgery under the mentorship of Drs. Marc Goldstein and Peter Schlegel at New York-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical College, all pioneers in their field. During his fellowship period, he received an SMSNA Young Investigator Award, an Abstract Prize for Clinical Investigation at the 2015 Annual Scientific Meeting of the SMSNA, and a Best Poster Award at the 2016 AUA Annual Meeting. He also completed a Master in Business Administration at The State University of New York University at Buffalo with a focus in healthcare management. Dr. Jenkins' undergraduate degree was in Biochemistry at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
His current research interests mainly focus on sexual dysfunction and male infertility. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and authored several textbook chapters. His work may be found in leading journals such as the Journal of Sexual Medicine, the Journal of Urology, European Urology, Urology, Nature Reviews Urology, and Urologic Oncology.
