Khurshid Ghani is a Professor of Urology at the University of Michigan, and Co-Director of the Endourology Fellowship in Ann Arbor. Dr Ghani’s research focuses on endoscopic stone surgery, lasers, and health services research. He is the Director of the Michigan Urological Surgery Improvement Collaborative (MUSIC), a physician-led quality collaborative comprised of over 260 urologists across Michigan, and three centers outside Michigan, with the goal to improve the quality of care for patients with prostate cancer, kidney stones and kidney cancer. He is also the Course Director of an international symposium on ureteroscopy - Developments in Ureteroscopic Stone Treatment (D.U.S.T.) - which has exposed hundreds of urologists to advanced techniques in ureteroscopy. Within MUSIC, he is the principal investigator of two multi-center pragmatic randomized clinical trials assessing patient quality of life and healthcare utilization after ureteroscopy. He is proud to serve as an Assistant Editor for the Journal of Urology.
