Dr. Alex Gomelsky is the B.E. Trichel Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology at LSU Health Shreveport, Louisiana. He is the Director of the Section of Female Urology, Neurourology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery and the Urology Residency Program Director. Dr. Gomelsky was recognized by SUFU in 2012 with the annual Paul Zimskind Award given for excellence and leadership in the field of female urology. He served as a Southeastern Section Representative to the AUA Leadership Program from 2008 to 2010. He has contributed to several AUA Guidelines and has served on the AUA/ABU Written and Oral Exam Committees.
