Kurt A. McCammon, M.D., F.A.C.S.*
Dr. McCammon earned his medical degree, magna cum laude, from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, OH, in 1992 after completing his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Toledo in 1988. He served his internship in general surgery in the Department of Surgery at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine, where he also completed his residencies in general surgery and urology, receiving the Upjohn Award for Intern of the Year in 1993 and Eunice Baxter award for Chief Resident of the Year in 1997. He completed a Fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1998.
Dr. McCammon’s practice is limited almost exclusively to adult and pediatric genitourinary reconstructive surgery. Board certified in Urology, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. McCammon serves as Professor of Urology at Eastern Virginia Medical School and currently serves as the Chairman and Program Director of the Department of Urology and is the Director of the Adult and Pediatric Genitourinary Reconstructive Fellowship Program at the Eastern Virginia Medical School. He was honored to be named the Devine Chair in Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery in 2013. He has wide and varied academic interests and is an innovative leader in the field of genitourinary reconstructive surgery. He is keenly motivated in the area of investigation and has made notable contributions to Urologic literature. He is proud to serve on the boards of IVUmed and the Society of International Urology.
