Lori Lerner, MD is an Associate Professor of Urology at Boston University School of Medicine, and Chief, Section of Urology at VA Boston Healthcare System. Dr. Lerner is an expert in Male Voiding Dysfunction and laser prostate surgery, Fellowship trained in HoLEP. An academic urologist her entire career, she has been involved in teaching HoLEP to residents and urologists at home, and abroad, for over 20 yrs. She is a strong advocate of education about surgical energies, particularly laser energy, and has been involved in numerous initiatives and courses promoting education and training. She is also interested in and has published about issues of importance to women surgeons, including pregnancy complications, fertility, and cancer.
