Dr. David Ginsberg is an internationally recognized expert in the field of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Urology (FPMRS). Dr. Ginsberg joined the USC faculty in 1997 after completing his fellowship in female, reconstructive and neuro-urology.
His particular areas of interest include both male and female voiding symptoms and urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and neurogenic bladder. Dr. Ginsberg specializes in both surgical and non-surgical options for treatment of prolapse and voiding dysfunction. Dr. Ginsberg is boarded by the American Board of Urology and also board certified in FPMRS. In addition, Dr. Ginsberg is Chief of Urology at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, an internationally respected facility focusing on the care of patients with spinal cord injury and other neurologic diseases.
Dr. Ginsberg’s contribution to the field has been recognized by his service on the Exam Committee for the American Urology Association and American Board of Urology and the AUA Stress Urinary Incontinence Guideline Committee. He was Chair of the AUA Neurogenic Lower Urinary Dysfunction Guideline Committee and also returned to serve on the AUA/ABU Exam Committee as a Senior Editor. He is also on the Executive Committee for the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction (SUFU) and has lectured throughout the world. Dr. Ginsberg has been elected to Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and has been listed as a “Best Doctors in America” and one of Southern California’s Super Doctors in Los Angeles Magazine for many years. He has published numerous articles within his field of expertise and reviews article for multiple journal, including the Journal of Urology for which he was awarded “reviewer of the year” in 2012 and 2014. Dr. Ginsberg is on the editorial board for Medscape and is an Associate Editor for Neurourology and Urodynamics.
