Learning Objectives:

Apply new criteria for successful stone management beyond stone-free rate.
Perform ureteroscopy safely with or without use of an ureteral access sheath.
Apply holmium and thulium laser settings for the dusting and fragmenting of kidney stones.
Apply new medications for the management of complex stone prevention, including hyperoxaluria scenarios, and discuss the latest research.
Appy mini-PCNL vs ureteroscopy in the management of intermediate-sized stone (1-2 cm)

Attendees will refresh their knowledge of the AUA Stone Management Guidelines and also adapt these guidelines to complex cases (e.g., urinary diversion, transplant kidneys, advanced chronic kidney disease [CKD], morbid obesity) that have not been included in the current guidelines. They will also be provided an update to the guidelines including new technologies (e.g., holmium vs thulium laser, mini-percutaneous nephrolithotomy [PCNL] vs standard PCNL vs ureteroscopy vs shock wave lithotripsy [SWL], dusting vs extraction) and medications to incorporate into their practice of stone prevention.
