Learning Objectives:

Apply contemporary AUA guidelines related to female urology/voiding dysfunction to clinical practice.
Recognize which diagnostic tests are appropriate for given female urologic problems including overactive OAB, stress incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
Identify appropriate clinical treatment options for patients with given female urologic problems.
Utilize streamlined methods to evaluate and manage OAB.

The goal is to review basic, efficient, cost-effective evaluation and management of patients presenting with typical female urologic conditions. They should be able to learn how to manage these patients efficiently utilizing AUA guidelines. For example, we will present a case of a patient with stress urinary incontinence and then review—interacting with them—the appropriate examination, testing and treatment options. They should return to their practices with a better understanding and working knowledge of the AUA guidelines that are related to female urology and how to implement it. We plan to cover overactive bladder (OAB), female stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
