Holly Paden is a doctoral candidate in the Ilic lab. Their work centers the intersection of food safety, cancer, and the microbiome. In their research, they consider how the knowledge and attitudes of cancer patients may increase their risk for opportunistic infection, how diet and treatment impact the composition and diversity of the microbiome, and the feasibility and efficacy of targeted food safety education designed specifically for cancer patients.
