Ms. de Jesus is a Nutrition Advisor in the HHS Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. She works on the development of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and participates in other crosscutting nutrition activities across the federal government.
Previously, she was a Public Health Advisor at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the National Institutes of Health. At NHLBI, she participated in systematic evidence reviews and the development of clinical guidance for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular risk factors across the lifespan. In addition, she worked on the development of community programs to improve heart health in high risk communities. She completed her Master’s in nutrition at Florida State University in Tallahassee.
