John Usseglio joined the Columbia University Irving Medical Center Health Sciences Library in June of 2016. The scope of his responsibilities includes, but is not limited to, advising on systematic review protocols and methods, collaborating on systematic reviews with research teams, evaluating researcher impact, promoting evidence-based practice library resources and teaching educational sessions. In addition to general library responsibilities, he currently works as the dedicated Nursing Informationist for the Columbia University School of Nursing and as the Informationist for the Center for Behavioral Cardiovascular Health in the Columbia University Department of Medicine. John specializes in systematic reviews, evidence-based practice and clinical research support. He has experience advising and conducting systematic reviews with research teams at CUIMC, as well as integrating library instruction into a course curriculum to teach best strategies for engaging with information.
