Nathalie Gharibeh is a PhD Candidate in Human Nutrition at McGill University, Canada under the supervision of Dr. Hope A. Weiler and co-supervision of Dr. Sarah Kimmins. Her PhD project aims at investigating the determinants of bone health in infancy including vitamin D status at birth and postnatal vitamin D supplementation. At McGill University, she was awarded the graduate excellence fellowship award (GEF) several times and the differential fee waiver (DFW).
Nathalie also holds a Masters in Clinical Research in Human Nutrition from Imperial College London, United Kingdom, with Distinction, First Class Honors, and the Faculty of Medicine Dean’s Prize for Clinical Research: Human Nutrition for outstanding performance. Her undergraduate background combines biology and nutrition. She gradauted with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with High Distinction and First Class Honors from the Lebanese American University, Lebanon and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon with a First Place Award for an Outstanding Contribution in Initiative for Biodiversity Studies in Arid Regions forum, in celebration of the “International Biodiversity Day”.
Nathalie’s professional experience in Nutrition spans from clinical work to academia. She is a Licensed Dietitian from the Ministry of Health, Lebanon. She worked as a clinical dietitian at the Lebanese American University Medical Center- Rizk Hospital, Clemenceau Medical Center affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine International, and at CK Medical Center, Lebanon. In addition, Nathalie was also the former Dietetic Internship Coordinator at the Lebanese University and a Nutrition instructor at both the Lebanese University and the Lebanese American University, and a teaching assistant at McGill University.
