Robert E. Anderson III is a recent MS Nutrition & Food Systems graduate of the University of Kentucky. His thesis explored the effects of a Maximal Strength Training intervention aimed at offsetting metabolic compensation. This fall he will begin work on his PhD in Nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with Dr. Alice Ammerman in the Gillings School of Global Public Health. His research is interested in the intersection of physical activity, food behaviors, and weight loss interventions that leverage technology for underserved populations. Since 2018 he has worked for Elevation Health serving in various roles, most recently as a Virtual Programming Specialist. He hosts the Elevation Health podcast, Elevate Yourself (available on iTunes) and is a nationally certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and Nutrition Coach. When he’s not working on research or coaching a client you can find him, on most mornings before dawn, trying to push his body and brain to their limits in endurance training (Marathon, Spartan Race). You can follow him on social media @RobertHardin
