Thais Rangel Bousquet Carrilho is currently a Postdoctoral fellow in the Nutritional Epidemiology Observatory from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), supervised by prof. Gilberto Kac. She holds a BSc. in Nutrition from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), an MSc. in Epidemiology from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), and a PhD in Nutritional Epidemiology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She has led the project to create new Brazilian gestational weight gain charts and recommendations since 2017. She works as a data analyst at the Nutritional Epidemiology Observatory and is also a member of the data curation team of the Brazilian Maternal and Child Nutrition Consortium. Her main areas of activities are statistical methods applied to epidemiology and maternal and child nutrition.
