Dr. Linda Vesel is the Scientific Lead of the multi-site, mixed-methods Low Birthweight Infant Feeding Exploration (LIFE) study at Ariadne Labs and a Research Scientist at the Harvard T.H. School of Public Health. She provides technical, strategic and day-to-day management of the LIFE study and it’s team in India, Malawi, Tanzania and the United States; and serves as a strategic thought partner to the Director of the BetterBirth program. Linda is an experienced global health researcher and epidemiologist with expertise in designing, implementing, evaluating and managing maternal, newborn and child health interventions in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. She also serves as a consultant working on Kangaroo Mother Care for the World Health Organization. Previous to Ariadne Labs, Linda worked on MNCH research, innovation and policy at the Harvard School of Public Health, Concern Worldwide US, UNICEF headquarters, and the World Health Organization. Linda received her PhD in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and her Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology and International Health from the Boston University School of Public Health.
