Rachel Ryan, PhD is a Visiting Assistant Professor in Public Health Nutrition at the NYU School of Global Public Health. She received her MA in Health Education from Teachers College and her PhD in Nutrition from NYU Steinhardt. Her research focuses on maternal and child heath and nutrition. She uses qualitative and quantitative research methods to explore barriers and facilitators to breastfeeding and the use of foods, beverages, and herbal supplements (i.e., galactagogues) for increasing breast milk supply.
