Samantha Maley graduated from the University at Buffalo with a BS in biomedical engineering and a minor in public health. Following, she continued at the University at Buffalo to pursue a MS in epidemiology. Her thesis work is on the oral microbiome and alcohol intake. Samantha was a research assistant at the University at Buffalo on a project examining associations between the gut microbiome and eye disease.
