I completed my dietetic internship with a focus on eating disorders at the University of Minnesota- The Emily Program. I received my Masters and Doctoral degrees in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities and further completed an NIH post-doctoral training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Cancer- Hillman Cancer Center with a focus on nutrition and cancer prevention. I have conducted research in both clinical and observational (nutritional epidemiology) settings assessing the role of dietary factors in the etiology and prevention of cancer and cardiovascular diseases. I am currently teaching graduate-level nutrition courses including Human Metabolism and Body Composition, Applied Clinical Nutrition Statistics, Vitamin and Mineral Metabolism, and Nutrition Across the Lifespan at the Department of Clinical and Preventive Nutrition Sciences, Rutgers University. Also, I mentor masters and doctoral of clinical nutrition students for their research theses.
