Dr. John B. Vincent received a B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Murray State University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Indiana University. He was a NIH postdoctoral fellow at The University of Virginia before joining the faculty of The University of Alabama in 1991, where he is currently Professor of Chemistry. His research interests are in bioinorganic chemistry, with a particular focus on the nutritional biochemistry of chromium(III). Dr. Vincent is author or co-author of over 200 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, books, and patents. According to Web of Science, Dr. Vincent’s publications have been cited over 10,000 times, giving an average of over 69 citations per publication and an H-index of 52. Dr. Vincent is currently co-editor-in-chief of Biological Trace Element Research.
