Roei Golan is a medical student at Florida State University College of Medicine class of 2024. He graduated from Florida State University with Honors Distinction in 2019. He did research and defended his thesis under Dr. Bahram H. Arjmandi, Professor and Director of the Center for Advancing Exercise and Nutrition Research on Aging. After graduating, Roei took a gap year before medical school to work as a clinical research coordinator under Dr. Charles Gerry Maitland, professor of Neuro-Ophthalmology and director of the Neurocognitive Rehabilitation Research Center at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare - Florida State University. As a medical student, Roei completed a summer research fellowship under Dr. Ranjith Ramasamy, associate professor of Urology and director of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at the Desai Sethi Urology Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Roei serves on the Student Leadership Council for the American Geriatrics Society and is a member of the American Society for Nutrition, Florida Geriatrics Society, and American Urological Association.
