Dr Dereje Gete is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Epidemiology and Biostatistics Division, School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, the University of Queensland. Dr Gete has been awarded his Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Queensland in 2022. His doctoral dissertation focused on the role of pre-pregnancy dietary patterns on adverse birth outcomes, child health, and well-being using the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health and the Mothers and their Children's Health Study. His research interests focused on women's and child's health, nutrition, and infectious diseases epidemiology.
