Dr. Maryam Hashemian, M.D., Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at Utica University. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG) at the National Cancer Institute, NIH. Her team’s research focuses on examining the effects of diet and dietary patterns on chronic diseases, especially upper GI cancers. Her research interests are biomarkers for dietary assessment and different methodological approaches in dietary pattern analysis.
