Heather A. Eicher-Miller, PhD is an Associate Professor in Nutrition Science at Purdue University. Her research to evaluate and create evidence-based interventions, programs, and policies has had a significant impact on food insecurity which affects 11% of U.S. households and creates uncertainty regarding the availability of nutritionally adequate and safe foods. She currently leads collaborative work to develop novel analytical and methodological techniques, including temporal patterning, to more effectively evaluate the relationship between lifestyle components diet and physical activity, and health.
