I am Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital. My primary research interest is in in global health and nutrition with a particular focus on respiratory infections with a series of clinical trials, investigating the potential role of vitamin D supplementation as an agent to prevent and treat tuberculosis, acute respiratory infections and exacerbations of asthma and atopic dermatitis. I have set up an initiative called “Zero TB Ulaanbaatar” with the goal to eradicate TB in Mongolia in conjunction with HMS and Yale faculty, organizing the public health sector in Mongolia and collaborating with local public health and community partners
