Kara Livingston, MPH, is a Sr. Project & Data Manager on the Nutritional Epidemiology Team at the JM USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University. She has over 15 years of experience in public health and epidemiology research and has worked extensively on all aspects of research study development and execution, ranging from designing studies and recruitment plans, to collecting data, handing institutional review board paperwork, cleaning/managing data, conducting analyses, and synthesizing results in academic presentations and manuscripts. She manages ongoing data collection and data cleaning for the Adhering to Dietary Approaches for Personal Taste (ADAPT) Study, a cohort study examining dietary adherence among popular diet followers (PI: Nicola McKeown). Kara received a B.A. in English from the College of the Holy Cross and an MPH with a concentration in Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases from Yale University. She completed additional training in applied epidemiology as a CDC/CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellow in the Bureau of Immunization at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
