As the health status of the population is getting more complex, the Izard’s laboratory leverage a multi-disciplinary approach to obtain a greater understanding of our microbiome function to empower everyone to nurture a supportive microbiome.
Dr. Jacques Izard did his Postdoctoral fellowship at the New York State Department of Health in Albany, NY, working on bacteria ultrastrutures and biofilms. After a move to the Forsyth Institute in Boston, MA, where he became an Associate Professor, he expanded his interest in biofilms to the microbiomes and got involved in the Human Microbiome Project and other cohorts. He joined the University of Nebraska to continue his investigation of the digestive bioreactor in the context of the health and disease continuum.
