Leslie Redmond is a registered dietitian with a master’s degree in kinesiology and a doctorate degree in human nutrition from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Dietetics and Nutrition at the University of Alaska Anchorage, where her research interests include the promotion of nutrition and physical activity to decrease chronic disease burden, specifically in Indigenous populations, and sustainable solutions to food insecurity among college students. She also believes that educators have a critical responsibility to provide engaging, affordable, and accessible learning experiences for students to support their success, including facilitating opportunities for interprofessional learning and research experiences for all students.
