Hi, my name is Lekha. I am an MS3 at SUNY Downstate Medical College in Brooklyn, NY. My interest in nutrition and nutritional literacy stems from learning more about the importance of nutritional counseling and education on health outcomes for patients. I was surprised to learn how much biomolecular, clinical, and public health research is focused on nutrition and the role that it plays in everyone's day-to-day life. I did my Master's in Human Nutrition at Columbia IHN a year before medical school and hope to learn more while in medical school now.
